BOOM Library Transforce | A transient shaping plugin built for sound design
A professional transient shaper that lets you refine attack and sustain separately
BOOM Library Transforce is a transient shaping plugin from BOOM Library. It uses an architecture that processes attack and sustain independently, supports VST 3, AU, and AAX, and offers up to 4× oversampling plus adjustable look-ahead transient detection.
It is more than a traditional attack / sustain boost or reduction tool: each side is expanded into an independently controllable spectral and tonal workspace. Compared with conventional transient processors that can only raise attack or reduce sustain as a whole, Transforce uses parametric EQ, spectral separation, and modular saturation processing to precisely reshape the front-end contour and tail texture of drums, footsteps, impacts, dialogue, and game sound effects without damaging the core tone.

BOOM Library Transforce core technology and features
- Independent attack and sustain processing: Splits the signal into attack and sustain as two separately shapeable work areas, avoiding the side effects of traditional transient plugins where changing attack also drags sustain along.
- Multiband parametric EQ per module: Both the attack and sustain modules have independent parametric EQ capability, allowing more precise frequency shaping of punch, body, ring, and rumble across different bands.
- Saturation per module: Each processing block can add independent saturation, so the sound changes not only in dynamic contour but also gains harmonics, thickness, and presence at the same time.
- Spectral Slider spectral separation technology: Separates tonal resonances from broadband/noise components, then applies them separately to attack and sustain. This is ideal for complex material such as snare crack and ring, guitar pick attack, and metallic front-end textures in sci-fi elements.
- Advanced transient module control: Provides hold, decay, and sidechain trigger input, making transient detection and triggering more controllable, especially for more interactive post-production and design workflows.
- Five-module workflow with Stylize, Clipper, and Limiter: In addition to the core transient and EQ/saturation processing, it also includes Stylize, Clipper, and Limiter, allowing everything from sound shaping to output control to be completed in a single plugin.
- Up to 4× oversampling: Helps reduce aliasing during more aggressive saturation, clipping, and dense transient processing, maintaining cleaner highs and a more stable overall character.
- Adjustable look-ahead transient detection: User-adjustable look-ahead lets you balance detection accuracy against latency, making it suitable for different source types and working situations.
- Full parameter automation: All parameters can be automated, making it easy to create dynamic changes in scoring, game cutscenes, film sound effects, and electronic music production.
- Presets built from real production scenarios: The presets are not generic showcase sounds, but are based on actual production sessions, making them easier to learn and adapt for project-specific needs.
- Sound-design-oriented workflow: Especially suitable for film, TV, game audio, footsteps, impacts, dialogue, whooshes, creatures, and sci-fi design, and also works well for drums, guitars, pianos, and vocals.
- AudioSuite and Apple Silicon support: Can be integrated into Pro Tools AudioSuite offline processing workflows and supports native Apple Silicon, covering modern post-production and music production environments.
